Flows Grouping

Discover how the "Groups" feature automatically organizes your Flows per knack app, and lets you reorganize if desired.

This article covers the following topics:

What are Groups in Flows?

Groups in Flows are an important, powerful feature that allows you to organize multiple Flows into logical buckets. By default, your flows are grouped per knack-app. You will see a Group value for each Knack App in your account.

Where can I access Groups?

You can find Groups within the main 'Flows' tab. After selecting the "Flows" tab, look for a dropdown menu labeled "All groups" to access your organized Flow groups.

You can also view & change which Group a specific flow is associated to in the upper-right corner beneath the "Start" button within the flow-builder

How are Flows automatically grouped?

Groups in Flows are automatically generated based on the Knack apps that are connected to the Flows you've created.

For example, if you have a Flow that initiates actions within your Custom CRM Knack app, a group will be created for you, named "Custom CRM". Any future Flows created for the Custom CRM app will automatically be categorized within the "Custom CRM" group.

This automated grouping facilitates organization and ensures that your Flows are categorized efficiently.

Notes:

  • When you change the name of your Knack app, the corresponding Group will automatically update to reflect the new app name. By refreshing the Flows Builder you can see the updated Group name.
  • A group is automatically created for a Knack app the first time the builder navigates to Flows from the left-hand navigation menu.

How to Search for a Group

To locate a specific Group in Flows, navigate to the Groups dropdown list and type your search keyword into the search input field located at the top of the list:
