Managing Your Flows

In the Flows area of the Knack Builder, you can find and manage all your automated workflows. Learn more details about managing your Flows here.

How to Start Creating a New Flow

To start the process of creating a new Flow, simply locate the Flows section in the left-hand navigation menu and then choose the "Create Flow From Scratch" option:

How to Copy, Rename, or Delete a Flow

To create a copy of an existing Flow, click on the ellipses icon found at the bottom right corner of the desired Flow, then choose the "Copy" option from the menu that appears. You will then be asked to provide a name for the newly copied Flow:

To rename a Flow, simply click on the pen icon located to the right of the Flow's name, which will allow you to edit the text directly:

Alternatively, you can click on the ellipses icon (...) and select the "Rename" option from the dropdown menu.

To delete a Flow, select the ellipses icon (...) and select the "Delete" option from the list:

Flow Settings

To access the settings of a Flow, click on the gear icon located at the bottom of the Flow you wish to view. This action will take you to the Flow's Builder, where you can make any necessary edits to triggers, actions, and filter conditions, as well as access the Flow's logs and analytics:

Tip: Selecting the desired Flow from the list will also take you directly to the Flows Builder.

 

How to Start, Pause, or Recover a Flow

When you are in the Flows section, you will notice a "Start" or "Pause" button available both in the Flows Builder and in the preview of the Flow within the Flows list:

By clicking the highlighted button above, you can effectively manage the status of your Flows, enabling you to decide which ones should remain active and which ones should be paused.

To restore a deleted Flow, navigate to the second dropdown list located to the right of the Group dropdown. This allows you to filter your Flows, showing only those that have been deleted. Once you find the Flow you wish to recover, simply click the "Recover" button. After recovering a Flow, you can make adjustments to its settings and start it as needed.

How to Assign a Flow to a Group

To assign Flows to a group, you have two options:

1. While in the "Flows" tab, you can select the checkbox next to the Flow (or multiple Flows) that you wish to assign. Once selected, a menu will appear, allowing you to choose from a dropdown list to either select an existing group or create a new group for the Flow(s) to be moved to.

2. Within the Flow's Builder, locate the Group dropdown menu situated just beneath the "Test" and "Start"/"Pause" buttons. Here, you can select an existing group or create a new one for your Flow.

How to Filter Your Flows by Category

When you are in the Flows tab, you can apply filters to help streamline your search for specific Flows. Simply click on the dropdown list located to the right of the Group dropdown.

In this menu, you will find several options to choose from:

  • All flows
  • Data migration
  • Paused
  • Started
  • Deleted
  • Blocked

To clear any applied filters/group selections and view all Flows, click the "Reset filters" button to the left of the dropdown list.

How to Search for Flows by Name

To search for particular Flows by the name assigned to them, you can use the Search input field found on the far right above all of your Flows:

Tip: You can utilize the search feature alongside any applied filters or selected groups for more refined results.
