How can I track what users are doing in my app?

Danielle Kellogg Updated by Danielle Kellogg

If you're looking for information on:

  • Who is logging into your app
  • When they are logging in
  • What pages they are viewing
  • What they are searching for
  • Or what they are downloading

Right now there is no built-in option for tracking who's logging into your app or what activities they're performing in your app.

For now, some users have added Google Analytics to their apps using custom code. Google Analytics can help with tracking user activity, though not user login activity. You can learn more about that in the article: Can I Add Google Analytics to My Knack App?.

We will likely consider adding more options for tracking user activity and logins in the future, however, there is no timeline for it at the moment. To show your support for those features, you can vote for them here: User Activity (Analytic).
