How do I create a field that always displays today's date?
In this article, learn how to create an Equation field to display the current date.
If you're looking for a field that consistently displays the current date for standalone use or for calculating other dates, you can rely on the currentTime() function within an Equation field.
Tip: See the following articles to learn more on Date Equations:
1. Simply create an Equation field in your desired table and adjust the Equation settings as follows:
- Type: Date
- Date Type: days
- Result Type: Date
- You may choose to keep the rest of the options at their default settings.
2. To input the equation, simply use the currentTime() function, which will automatically retrieve the current date.
Note: The date will automatically update daily to reflect the current date.
That's all that you will need to do in order to create a field that always displays today's date! 🚀
